The geopolitical complexity and the alterations of the country's borders throughout the years pose a challenge in understanding the region's current situation. Border tours enable the participant to grasp a better understanding of what the Media tells us by being in the places the media refers to.

Israel has borders with a number of countries and each one of them has a story of its own. Meeting the people who inhabit the nearby areas and hearing their stories enables better understanding of the intricate Israeli story and the frequent changes in the broader Middle East region such as the Arab Spring uprisings.



The Golan Heights and the Syrian border

The tour in the Golan Heights region will include visiting areas which are nearby the border and meeting with the local inhabitants and hearing their stories. All of these assists in understanding the importance of this geographical region to the State of Israel.

We will begin the tour at a lookout point towards the Israeli-Syrian border and the Israeli Golan Heights. Following, we will discuss the evolution of the border throughout the years and the numerous wars. After that, we will visit one of the many wineries which are located in the Golan and meet with the Druze inhabitant of the Golan while having a local lunch
